NCIS is one of TV’s longest-running series, with an impressive 20 seasons under its belt. Spanning the course of two decades and counting, it’s no wonder the show has seen some cast changes. While some simply left the series to pursue other opportunities, the show has experienced other types of losses as well. Unfortunately, some of its cast members have passed away, leaving behind a legacy and their own unique imprint that will live on forever in fans’ hearts.
During the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy, the Jedi rules forbidding romantic relationships felt overly strict. To be fair to the Jedi Council, though, Anakin Skywalker’s secret relationship with Padmé Amidala was fairly disastrous for the galaxy as a whole. Still, while Padmé was alive, she tried to be a moral compass for Anakin and might have saved him if Darth Sidious hadn’t got his Sith hooks into the confused Jedi Knight.
Plenty of actors are known for bulking up to play action heroes, but Nicolas Cage isn’t really one of them. That turned out to be incredibly ironic, when the star’s intense training regimen for comic book adaptation Ghost Rider only ended up leading to accusations that his abs had been sculpted in post-production, as opposed to the gym.
Recommended Videos Mark Steven Johnson’s supernatural superhero blockbuster is hardly lauded as a modern classic of the genre, but Johnny Blaze’s initial transformation into the Spirit of Vengeance does at least provide a memorable scene of unhinged Cage Rage, with the leading man going utterly and wonderfully berserk as he transforms into a flame-skulled antihero.
Anime dubs can make or break the viewing experience, but thankfully, one of the most appreciated series of all time has a stellar English dub. Indeed, One Piece is arguably one of the most well-done dubs in all anime.
Recommended Videos From Luffy to Nami, Boa, and even Big Mom, the One Piece English dub is quite the treat. Whether or not it trumps the original Japanese version is always up for debate, but it’s great that the two can sit side by side in terms of high-quality voice acting.
Recommended Videos While reviews are obviously still a very important factor in their success, all anyone seems to care about these days is how much a movie ends up making. Box office receipts have of course always been important, but as more and more releases manage to earn upwards of $1 billion worldwide, that’s become the figure to hit in order to truly be considered a success by the majority of analysts.
As someone who gets the joyful, yet indelible task of reviewing annual sports games, it’s easy to just write off each new installment as a roster refresh and a slight polish of established features. Lord knows the Madden NFL franchise has been doing that for years now. But when a developer takes the time and effort to drill down into the core game modes and features that fans already love and find new and exciting ways to make them better, it’s not only a surprise; it’s a celebration.
Need for Speed Unbound, developed by series mainstay Criterion Games, is a fairly enjoyable mixed bag, filled with cringe-inducing humor and plenty of high-speed chases. Of course, seeing as how this is the first entry the franchise has seen in years, you would expect that they came back with something special.
Recommended Videos Well, we’ve been given exactly that. As the first current-gen Need for Speed, it looks and feels tremendous to play.
Hello. It’s me: the most biased possible writer to be reviewing this game. Want an anecdote? I got bullied in the fourth grade of elementary school for reading the inner pamphlet of We Love Katamari on the school bus. Maybe because it looks like this, or maybe because those kids didn’t know the joy of the Katamari. Whatever the reason, my spirits were not dampened. We Love Katamari REROLL + Royal Reverie brings me back to one of my all-time favorite games as an adult, re-experiencing the unfettered joy of playing it again for the very first time.
Recommended Videos Stephen Dorff and Allen Covert, co-stars in the porn-themed comedy Bucky Larson: Born to be a Star, took some time to talk about the film while in Austin last week. The film opened this weekend, with Dorff taking a break from more dramatic roles as the porn star Dick Shadow.
Nick Swardson leads the cast in Bucky Larson as a buck-toothed, small-dicked wannabe porn star who leaves his Midwestern home for Hollywood.
As someone who has watched Squid Game through the English dub, I can tell you that it’s not worth it. You’re better off watching this series in Korean and many can attest to that. So you could imagine the horror when it was rumored that the popular K-Drama will receive an American adaptation.
Recommended Videos Hollywood Insider Jeff Sneider reported that Netflix has plans to produce an “American take” on Squid Game and plans to get House of Cards executive producer, David Fincher involved.
