Johnny Depp‘s career has been filled with wonderful movies like What’s Eating Gilbert Grape?, Edward Scissorhands and the Pirates of the Caribbean series. Unfortunately, though, it’s also been filled with a handful of stinkers like The Astronaut’s Wife, The Ninth Gate and Mortdecai. Yet, it’s somewhere in between these two vastly different levels of quality where you can find some of Depp’s most interesting work, even if the material itself doesn’t make for the best of his films.
Netflix will be introducing a new list of films and shows next month starting Oct. 1st that will be available for streaming, including Mark Ruffalo’s romantic comedy, Rumor Has It. The 2005 film also stars Jennifer Aniston, Shirley MacLaine, and Kevin Costner. Recommended Videos In it, Ruffalo plays Jeff Daly, Aniston’s fiancé in a film about a woman named Sarah Huttinger (Aniston) making a cross-country trip from New York to California in order to make her younger sister’s (Mena Suvari) wedding.
Recommended Videos I have been sitting here a long time trying to figure out the best way to open this review, and the conclusion I keep coming back to is that a long series of exclamation points and spirited interjections – something like OH MY GOD! !!!!!!!!!! HOLY – !!! WOW!!!!! !!! HOW DID THEY – !!!!!! OH MY GOD !!!!!!!!!!! I CAN’T BELIEVE IT !!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!! !!!! – is probably the purest and most honest summation of how I feel about Guillermo del Toro’s spectacular Pacific Rim.
Only the Marvel Cinematic Universe could generate a sweeping sense of reactionary panic – not to mention much knife-sharpening by trolls and haters – based entirely on an unconfirmed rumor that at long last a comic book adaptation is planning to come in at under two hours, but that’s exactly where The Marvels finds itself.
Recommended Videos Online scuttlebutt has pegged Nia DaCosta’s sequel to Captain Marvel, WandaVision, Ms. Marvel, and Secret Invasion all at once at a light and breezy 98 minutes, instantly causing many to question the audacity of Kevin Feige wielding the scissors with reckless abandon to cut down the initial cut, or in some cases the desperate move to try and salvage a serviceable film from what’s sure to be an outright disaster.
Although I’ve been a longtime admirer of Intelligent Systems and its impressive portfolio of games, I can’t necessarily call myself a Fire Emblem fan. Sure, I’ve dabbled with the franchise here and there, but for the most part, I’ve focused my attention on the company’s other turn-based strategy series. Yes, it has been over 15 years since we’ve seen a new Advance Wars game. And yes, I’m still salty about it.
They were besties until everything went pear-shaped. Bethenny Frankel and Jill Zarin were close friends on and off screen while filming the early season of The Real Housewives of New York, but then — they had a massive falling out.
Recommended Videos More than ten years later, they have (mostly) settled their dispute and found peace. On a recent episode of Frankel’s podcast ReWives, the two former friends hashed out their grievances against one another and even put some of them to rest.
Russell T. Davies is the writer who revived Doctor Who and turned it into a sensation in the U.K. again. Now, after leaving the show for more than a decade, the acclaimed television producer is coming back to reclaim the reins and take the long-running sci-fi series down a new golden age.
Recommended Videos Davies has presided over a number of critically lauded stories in modern Who. He was the man who brought back the show with his unique vision, after all, so in a sense, everything we see in those earlier seasons is ultimately his brainchild, even if they don’t necessarily originate from his personal typewriter.
Recommended Videos Production on Jurassic World 2 is expected to kick off in February when J.A. Bayona’s monstrous sequel will be setting up shop across London and various locations on Hawaii. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are among the returning, with early, as-yet-unconfirmed story nuggets pointing to man-made dinos that would make even the Indominus Rex blush. One fan-favorite that won’t be involved, however, is Alan Grant, after Sam Neill confirmed over the weekend that his decorated paleontologist has essentially been written out of the franchise.
It’s Taylor Swift‘s world, and we’re just living in it, and that idea has never been more true than right now — as we sit patiently waiting for a new version of one of her best albums, watch highlights from her Eras tour, and sit in constant awe of her immeasurable talent and pizazz. Recommended Videos Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) is just days away from its release, and with songs like “Enchanted,” “Long Live,” and “Back to December,” fans know that we’re about to feel all the feelings as we hear each song again, magically for the first time.
There are so many amazing potential villains for Spider-Man 4 — Scorpion (remember him from Homecoming?), Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin (no, I’m not letting that one go), and Jared Leto’s Morbius (no, wait, scratch that last one). Recommended Videos But what Marvel and Sony really need is someone who can bring something fresh to the franchise as well as perhaps tapping into another arm of Spider-Man media that is universally beloved. So what about skipping the usual suspects and having Tom Holland’s wallcrawler face off against Mister Negative?
